I originally trained with the Reflexology association of Canada but at that time there hadn't been a local chapter in Nova Scotia.

I had been really excited to see a local chapter called NSARP which is now known as ACART.

I felt it was important to have a certificate from an association hanging on my wall, which gave me creditability for my studies.

I helped encourage the association to meet twice a year because I personally felt lost after the winter months and knew coming together in the spring would help build connections, share ideas and increase business knowledge.

I joined ACART in November 2022, shortly after being certified in reflexology.

I was seeking community in the reflexology industry.

I also knew the importance of being registered and the credibility behind that. It has the potential to gain more traction with clientele and have coverage with insurance companies.

I believe I found exactly what I was looking for, with gaining support from fellow reflexologist across the country.

I have gained insight and ideas for my business and I get excited to work along side of and share ideas with others!

I became a member of ACART in 2020 upon receiving my certificate in Foot reflexology.

My decision to join was because I learned that if I had any clients with insurance that covers reflexology they could not claim it unless I was a member of an Association.

This was the most logical one to join seeing I live in NS and would have the possibility of attending the AGM's and Fall conferences which, along with the trainings provided at these events earns me 24 primary ceus every 2 years which exceed the required amount.

I also like how ACART is making more and more efforts each year to provide further benefits for it's members and seeking to do everything possible to get more recognition with insurance companies.

The Association is very member oriented now.
